During a static load test, a predetermined horizontal load is applied to the glass balustrade under controlled conditions. Using a dial gauge, we record the displacement both under load and after unloading. The results are assessed against the applicable requirements, the design and the test conditions. This allows us to examine the balustrade's behaviour and stiffness without drawing unsupported conclusions from a single measurement.
