HANDOVER ASSISTANCE
Provisional handover assistance
At the provisional handover of a home bought off-plan, you finally get to see the property in person. It is an important but stressful moment: all visible defects must be identified in a very short time.
It is often overlooked that new visible defects cannot be reported in the same way after provisional handover. Having an experienced expert by your side is therefore essential. We are trained to carry out this inspection efficiently within the limited time available and provide thorough, knowledgeable support.
The Breyne Act offers important protection to buyers, but without the right knowledge you may feel pressured to sign a document you later regret. Our in-depth knowledge of the law can help you avoid unpleasant surprises after handover.
What can you expect from us?
- We attend in person and support you throughout the provisional handover.
- We ensure that all visible defects are correctly recorded in the provisional handover report.
- We also make an initial check for defects that are not immediately visible. The sooner they are identified, the sooner the contractor can address them.
- We explain the technical operation of your installations (ventilation, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.).
- Advice on your rights and obligations regarding provisional handover.
- You receive a detailed report with a photo, description and location for each observation.
